Following the mega successful DC Bats R.I.P series was the short run Winick's storyline with the "Bagley & Hunter" dynamic art duo!!!. The Long Shadows Bats art pages were nothin short of smokin' awesome. This was just a prelude of things to come. The current JLA incredible art work continues on. JLA's #45 cover is the hottest JLA cover ever.

So whats the deal? Are his pencils not quite there? Is Bagley just being asked to put out too many pages a month?

Note that I didn't blame the inks, but rather considered that as a potential cause for Bags art looking considerably less good than his prior Marvel work or even just his work on Batman with Winnick.

Maybe I should stop inking with my eyes closed. That might help a little....

I'm really enjoying the series, but man does Bagley's art look rushed, or at least poorly inked. Bagleys run at DC so far has been unfortunately lackluster, which is a real shame as his best art was what he was doing at Marvel just prior to his DC work.
