It's true, the sidebar interviews have been overused. Not sure why Bendis has relied so heavily on them lately. They used to make his books interesting. Now they just seem to make them slow.

I have mixed feelings about the talking head interview format that has been littering Avengers/New Avengers for the last few issues, but I feel Brendis uses it effectively in this issue. he reels it in a little in this one, using the interview panels sparingly to accent the story and to add some character depth. It works well, and I hope this results in some more Squirrel Girl stories.
