This is a really creepy book! Peter Milligan has crafted a very spooky and engaging first issue.

Has anyone noticed (what appears to be) a woman in a pink cloak lurking in the backgrounds? If so where? I've seen her in this issue, Superman #1 & Stormwatch #1 & Teen Titans #1. Any clues to who this person is or people are?

I think this title has potential, and I've pulled it as well. However, if you pull only one title from the DC Dark Line, go with Animal Man.

I'm going to give this a try... probably just for #1 to see how the team is brought together. I'm not really a fan of Magic based stuff, but I do like Zatanna as a character. I also understand Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Batman are in this some as well, so it will be interesting to see their role in pulling together the JL Dark team.

I added this to my pull list but am on the fence over it. The mystical/magical books in my superhero universes are very hit or miss for me. I think this is the only 'dark' family title I am checking out. I hope it is good!

"I know that for me I have never been into magical or mystical type books" - So why post about things you're not into? I just don't understand that if you don't like something or don't follow it. Then why post comments about burning them or shaking your head, or having no interest in them. Stick to commenting on things you do know something about.

Your comment on Resurrection Man, pointless. Or your Voodoo Comment - if your not interested, why post? Or your post on the Legion Lost book about having no interest in the future. You are free to post what you think just don't whine about it when people attack your negativity.

See. I knew you could reply back without attacking. So tell me. Why do you like these characters? What, in your opinion, would make you want to read them? I know that for me I have never been into magical or mystical type books, but I have read some good ones. Hellboy was good and has basically the same type of mystical back ground. On the Marvel side of things Doctor Strange has some good stuff, but still isn't even close to being a favorite for me. I hope that this will be something like those I don't know. If it is then I might like it. If not then it's a 50/50 shot in the dark.

You really are just being over defensive. Lighten up. I'm not attacking. As you say this is a forum for posting opinions, so if someone has an opinion of your post they are free to share it. I would just recommend making more constructive and well thought out comments. Also, if you can't take some criticism, be it friendly or not, then maybe the interwebs isn't the best place to spout said opinions.

I commented that I vote to burn it, but I will wait to officially do so if and when I can actually stand to read all the way through the book. I don't know for sure yet if the book is going to be good or not. Don't just go and attack someone because their opinion differs from yours. I haven't attacked anyone that has placed, in some cases, rude and vulgar remarks to my comments. It's an opinion posted to a forum. Nothing more, nothing less. If you don't like my opinion then ask why I wouldn't like something or defend the book by giving your reasons for enjoying these characters. Don't just attack the person making the negative remark. I have read all of your posts on these books and you seem to be an educated personto me. So prove that by trying to change the way I see these characters. Post what you love about them and then I will tell you if it has then changed my opinion of the book or the characters. Until then I feel that this book will most likely just end up being a collection piece that I wont actually enjoy, but I will buy to complete the set.
