I told myself I wasn't going to get into a Bat title on this reboot. I read it and now I'm hooked. It was great. I will definitely continue reading.

I guess my one complaint about this book was the character design for the Joker. Dear Lord, was that atrocious.
I was sorely tempted to drop the book immediately after seeing that design. Luckily it was only in a few pages and I was able to press onward.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Although to be honest, I thought the story was average to slightly above. I loved Capullo's art though, it totally made this book!

Ive red American Vampire by Scott Snyder and I could totally see him write a good Batman story, looking foward to this one.

Interesting. I thought Detective Comics #1 was average at best. I've not seen such an uninteresting Batman in a long time. The story was like two pieces of fresh sourdough bread holding together a fairly bland, and only slightly delicious middle. I'm hoping for a more intriguing delivery of the Caped Crusader in Batman #1 and The Dark Knight #1.

Man, you should read Synder's run on Detective Comics and Batman: Gates of Gotham. Synder is probably the best writer that has worked on a Batman title in the last few years.

If Scott Snyder tells a Batman story even remotely as good as Tony Daniel did in Detective comics, this should be amazing. Never been a huge Batman fan but Detective surprised the heck out of me and made me excited for some of these 'Bat' titles. Can't wait to see if it is as good as I hope it is.

What can I say. The man is one heck of a hero. I look forward to the Batman beatdown that he is planning to dish out in these books.
