This has been a great surprise for me and I find myself looking forward to seeing more of this crazy world. I love that vampires are not Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise but rather I Am Legend-like.

This has been the most amazing surprise of the year. IMPALER is... ok, I'll say it--the best monthly book I've read all year. It's dark, it's emotional, it's action packed, and it is, from time to time, terrifying. Don't get me wrong, Bendis writes a great team book, Brubaker is doing excellent work on Cap, Geoff Johns' Green Lantern is a blast, but--I dunno, maybe it's because I didn't know what to expect, but this book has really impressed me. It's a blend of horror, history, military drama, and just plain awesome. I highly recommend it!
