So let's put aside who the writer is and ignore what he's said and just give an honest review of this issue. One word - boring. Okay not just boring but repetitive. Really the story just keeps going around in circles and all the characters that some how survived the prison massacre are conveniently bumping into one another. If you can figure out who then just think, "Who has a sword in this series?" Carl continues to act like a teenager having his personality aged significantly since becoming one of the few remaining characters. I still find it strange that some ones who's dialog for 49 issues consisted of, "I'm hungry, I'm bored, where's Dad, what's happening and I'm scared," could become so well spoken and mature. Really nothing happens in this book but a lot of coincidences and trying to talk about the prison and basically Rick is in denial. I wonder when the phone is going to show up again? I actually think the phone is the best character in the book right now.
