With David Tennant (the doctor as depicted in the ongoing series) leaving the Doctor Who television series, it's nice to see this incarnation of the Doctor having adventures of his own free of a companion. The stories are interesting yet lighthearted and are a fantastic alternative for those seeking to read something outside the realm of such enormo-mega-super-end of the universe events pushed by the big two. If you're looking to pick something up every month without having to get (or if you're like me: feeling compelled to get) the 1,000,000 tie in's just to gain an understanding of what the hell is going on, Doctor Who ongoing is a great choice.
