We continue where we last left off. Gus takes care of Jepperd from gathering food to finding temporary shelter to dress his wound. The conversation between the two characters continues to develop them nicely. Religion is a recurring topic as it reflects Gus' upbringing and contrasted with Jepperd's life experiences.
While the always-tough Jepperd displays a more compassionate side in this issue, we see Gus display self-sufficiency. While he may be innocent and naive about the world around him, he can take care of himself when it comes down to it.
The artwork, once again, is excellent. The visuals Lemire provides us with give us a great rendition of the world around Gus and Jepperd and the beauty, as well as the atrocities, of their surroundings are well done.
Again, we are left with a cliffhanger ending. More on that, next issue. :)
