CLICK TO SHOW SPOILERAfter a very long wait for this book, I am sad to say that the end result feels rushed. McNiven's art is not as sharp as it was earlier in the series. I am not sure if that's his fault, or the colorist's/inker's. Don't get me wrong, McNiven's work is still great however, it lacks crispness in some panels. The pacing in this book is fast. Millar quickly presents situations, while leaving the reader in need of more explanation, or wishing for a different story entirely. For exmple, Bruce Banner is an evil redneck because the radiation fried his brain. Please. Fans deserve better. Readers were well aware of his presence in this story prior to this issue, but a creative, believable situation for Banner would be more appropriate. The build up of this story was great, but the ending is anti-climactic. Everyone is well aware that Wolverine regenerates. Bruce Banner should as well, even with a fried-brain. Will we see more of this Logan? I hope so, but I hope it's on par with what Millar and McNiven did prior to this issue.
