I don't think I'm looking forward or have looked forward to any other 'event' in the world of comics more than I am of the "Blackest Night" Green Lantern crossover and it's an issue like this which while only a prologue tells me I know I'm not going to to be disappointed.
Johns has everything so meticulously thought out and making a whole lot of sense that I can't see how this can go wrong.
He's sets up the whole Black Ring Lantern perfectly, I was thoroughly engrossed by it all, perfect for any relative newcomer to Green Lantern with a Black Hand Origin story and his whole seemingly integral part in the upcoming Blackest Night arc.
The artwork is pure eye candy, finely detailed and incredibly dark and violent in places.
I have high hopes for what's to come.
