This issue is a little disjointed. Booster is lamenting that he has no one to talk to now that Batman is dead. There's a little more too it than that, but those are the basics. The big problem is that it completely ignores his sister, who was brought back from the dead and is now missing. Booster seems unconcerned about this.
However, Booster has a secret to maintain. No one must know that he's helping Rip fix time paradoxes. So he must go to the Bat Bave and find the pictures of him trying to stop the Joker from shooting Barbara Gordon.
Once there, Booster runs into the new Batman and a small fight breaks out. The fight is interrupted when the Black Beetle shows up to kill Dick Grayson. The Black Beetle quickly realizes he's outclassed and disappears. So does Dick Grayson. Suddenly a new trophy case appears in the Bat Cave, next to Jason Todd's empty suit memorial. It's a Dick Grayson memorial. Booster now has to go back in time and save Dick Grayson!
Overall, it was a bit of a simplistic issue, and like I said, it ignores what happened to Booster's sister. But it's still a really fun book, one I really enjoy. It's great to see Booster screw things up, and then set them back to normal. And the alternate futures that pop up when these things happen are always fun to explore for an issue or two.
