I picked this series up with issue 10 due to Paul Pope being on the book. What I discovered was a Western Comic that was getting it right. It was not campy at all, in fact it was serious, dark and mysterious. Unlike Jonah Hex who seems to have three personalities, one you can like, one you hate and one that doesn't have any reason to be there; the Lone Ranger is a straight forward revenge driven character that is likeable all the time. There is no excessive violence towards women in this book...
