Welcome to the grown-ups comic shop. The antithesis of the Android's Dungeon, BSC is almost more of an ever growing community of comic, art, and graphic novel lovers. From the first time you walk into the shop, Tucket, Tom & Amy make everyone feel like friend vs. customers. I feel in love with the shop with my very first visit. I now make it a point to try and bring someone new every time I go to buy books. As long as I am in NYC I can not see a reason to buy my comics anywhere else.

It is a beautiful store with a wonderful group of people running it. The Adams and Tucker make me feel at home with every visit.

Without hesitation, I can call Bergen Street Comics my all time favorite comic shop and certainly representative of the future of comics in this country and perhaps the world. As other commenters have said, Tom, Amy and Tucker immediately made me feel welcome in the way that I've been looking for from a comic shop for my entire life- and which I certainly was not finding in the shops in Manhattan. BSC in Brooklyn is a bit of a trek from my Astoria, Queens apartment, but I'm not hesitating to set up my subscription there immediately. Hope to see you there!

I have spent the better half of a year trying to cultivate a relationship with the people that work at the various comic book stores I frequent. This has not been as successful as I would like which causes me to feel less compelled to stay and chat with the employees. Then I heard about Bergen Street Comics and after my first visit, I knew this was the comic book safe haven I've been looking for. Tom and Amy are phenomenal and have been extremely supportive with my own comic book career that is still in its infancy. I love that I can stop by and feel free to simply hang out at the store.

As a comics lover for over 40 years, I have seen myriad locations for obtaining my favorite form of entertainment from the local candy store/newsstand to spinner racks through to the direct sales market and local comic shops. Bergen Street Comics, although very recently established, has quickly become one of my all time favorite comic buying experiences. Great shop with great people, Tom and Amy and Tucker make it the only shop I want to frequent. You really can't go wrong with these guys.
