The first issue was really good but this second issue is amazing - I would encourage anyone who likes the Vampire, Zombie, or Horror genre to give this a try.
Surprisingly excellent series! The interpretation of vampires in this book, I found very creepy. I was also happy to find that when the action lets up, the writing shines through and is strong enough to carry the book on its own. The lead character, Victor, in particular is written with a heart breaking clarity. Strange that after he has suffered such "real life" terrors that now he faces vampires.
This is only the second issue, so it's not to late to pick it up. (And it's priced at Top Cow's guaranteed $2.99 in 2009!)
