I agree that there was a real lack of planning with Batman R.I.P. and then Final Crisis, but this issue was great, and it shows how how good Morrison's R.I.P. could have been had this been the epilogue that immediately followed that storyline instead of Final Crisis. As it was, the mess created a distraction and really hurt the R.I.P. story.

God, this entire R.I.P./Final Crisis arc and all of the crossovers have been such a garbled, confused mess. And now - just what we need. Skipping around in the timeline.

I wish we could go back to having some well-written, linear Batman stories.
