SUPER MEGAFEST – It's that time of year again! Hollywood comes to Framingham! Movies, Super Heroes, Music & Wrestling and Intergalactic Mayhem come together in Framingham at the Super Megafest, New England's premiere Celebrity Pop Culture Fan Fest!

This year's event will feature Hollywood icons & celebrities, rock and roll, science fiction and wrestling legends. The Super Mega fest takes place Saturday, Nov. 21st from 10:30 am to 6 pm & Sunday, Nov 22nd 10:30am to 5 pm at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel located at 1657 Worcester Rd., Framingham, MA 01701.

Movie and TV fans will be thrilled by the very rare appearance of the James Marsters - SPIKE OF BUFFY AND ANGEL! For Sci Fi Fans we have Ray Park – DARTH MAUL and Brent Spiner – STAR TREK'S DATA! Don't miss the Bionic Reunion with Lindsay Wagner – JAMIE SOMMERS OF THE BIONIC WOMAN, Richard Anderson – OSCAR GOLDMAN and Janice Whitby – the BIONIC VILLIAN FEMBOT. Meet the BAYWATCH GIRLS – Gena Lee Nolin and Erika Elaniak. Our music lineup features Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork of the MONKEES. Our wrestling guests ODB and Crystal Louthan! MONSTERPOCKALYPSE DEMO THIS SATURDAY– Join us on Saturday 10/24 from 1 – 3 to demo the hit Monster game, Monsterpockalypse! You don't need to bring anything with you. There will be plenty of pieces on hand to use.

Monsterpocalypse straddles the line between tactical boardgame and miniatures wargame. Controlling 60-meter-tall dinosaurs, robots, and creatures from the beyond, players duke it out in a city (itself made up of miniatures) that they can either control or destroy. Smaller units like flying saucers and tanks add a level of complexity to the game, requiring players to alternate between going for the big hits with their monsters and making tactical decisions with their units. Monsterpocalypse is perfect for fans of Godzilla and other kaiju movies, as well as gamers looking for a streamlined-yet-deep strategy game. So come on down and give it a try this Saturday!

2) Daledo's Comic Book Reviews – No one loves you like DALE loves you!

Daledo's Comic Book Review #279 – Brutal Legend



So I ended up getting Brutal Legend for my 360, and it's awesome. This game is so many things and it's kind of hard to explain, but I'll do my best. The best way to describe it is a hack and slash/driving/free-roaming/real-time strategy game. Jack Black voices Eddie Riggs. Riggs is the world's best roadie, but he is a roadie for the world's worst metal band. After an on stage accident, blood from Eddie drips on his belt buckle and then transports him to some magical world that's ripped right from metal lyrics and Frank Frazetta album covers. There are so many people that have roles in this game. Ozzy, Halford, Lemmy, Lita Ford, Brian Posein, Kyle Gass. It's really funny and violent. It's just an overall great game and if you like metal, then I suggest that you pick this up.



On to the reviews:



Uncanny X-Men #516 by Matt Fraction, Greg Land and Jay Leisten



The Lowdown: Matt Fraction continues his run on Uncanny X-Men, and back on art chores is Greg Land. Say what you want about Greg Land and how he gets his results, his results are amazing. The X-Men have basically have formed their own sovereign nation, called Utopia, and it is formed out of the remains of Asteroid M. Well, at the end of the last issue, the former operator of Asteroid M, Magneto, makes an appearance at Dr. Yuriko Takiguchi's funeral. His intentions were unknown.



What Happens: Magneto reveals his intentions and where he has been, while one particular mutant doesn't trust Magneto.



Should You Buy It?: I really like Uncanny X-Men. It's the main X-Men title right now, just like it's always been. All of the big stuff that happen to the X-Men, happens in Uncanny and it effects just about all of the other X-books, with exception to Astonishing. I think that the best creative team is on this book as well. Fraction writes great action and it feels like he might be better suited writing a major summer blockbuster than writing a comic book. Greg Land is an amazing artist and I dig his work. His work alone is the reason I buy a lot of books. Add him with Matt Fraction and you have a winner. This book gets the Daledo Seal of Approval.



The Walking Dead #66 by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard and Cliff Rathburn



The Lowdown: The Walking Dead is the shit. We all know that right? I mean this book consistantly delivers each and every time out, and this book deals with more of humanity and it's darker sides than it does zombies. This issue marks the conclusion of the "Fear The Hunters" story arc. When we last saw Rick and the gang, they had tricked the canibalistic group of hunters.



What Happens: Rick and the rest of the group deal with the hunters and they have to deal with the aftermath of what they did. It has them thinking about thing and realizing other things.



Should You Buy It?: It's issues like this that are amazing. Not because of the brutal violence, but this book asks so many questions about humanity and what would it do in order to survive if there was a crisis. I don't see many other comics dealing with issues that are as deep as the Walking Dead. The issue in itself was brilliant. They were good portions of this issue that were silent and they just showed the aftermath and those images spoke volumes as to what happened. The Walking Dead is an amazing book and you would have to have the IQ of a zombie to not read this book. This book gets the Daledo Seal of Approval.

COHEED AND CAMBRIA JETPACK COMICS EXLUSIVE SET– Jetpack Comics has teamed with Boom Studios, Evil Ink Publishing and Coheed and Cambria front man, Claudio Sanchez, to produce a set of Jetpack Comics exclusives for his new comic series, KILL AUDIO. Kill Audio (C L A U D I O) started as a web comic and then had a short story in Image Comics POP-GUN Anthology, vol 2. The series will be 8 issues long, with each issue having a Jetpack Comics exclusive cover, limited to only 1000 copies!
