COHEED AND CAMBRIA JETPACK COMICS EXLUSIVE SET– Jetpack Comics has teamed with Boom Studios, Evil Ink Publishing and Coheed and Cambria front man, Claudio Sanchez, to produce a set of Jetpack Comics exclusives for his new comic series, KILL AUDIO. Kill Audio (C L A U D I O) started as a web comic and then had a short story in Image Comics POP-GUN Anthology, vol 2. The series will be 8 issues long, with each issue having a Jetpack Comics exclusive cover, limited to only 1000 copies! Now many of you know the history of the Coheed and Cambria comics, including their insane value. I believe that the Jetpack Exclusives will be some of the rarest Coheed books produced to date! You can order them on the Jetpack site starting this week!



WARHAMMER 40K BOOTCAMP SATURDAY 10/17 - Seacoast Gamers in collaboration with Jetpack will be running a 40K Boot Camp from noon to 5 on Saturday October 17th. The boot camp will include a painting clinic where you can learn painting techniques from the best painters in the area. Miniatures, paints, and brushes will all be provided.or feel free to bring your own miniatures to work on or get painting advice. We will also have several tables set up to do demo games for 40K newbies. The games will be 500 points and there will be several fully painted armies available for use including Orks, Tyranids, Ultramarines, and Eldar. If you are new to 40K and have already started an army, feel free to bring your own 500 point list to try out. Painting is not required. Next time you're in Jetpack also check out the Orks & Tyranid armies on display provided by Brad Hardy. It even includes a giant Ork Stompa!



After the 40K Boot Camp Jetpack will be hosting a 40K Tale of Gamers. The Tale of Gamers is an awesome ongoing monthly event where the participants grow their fully painted armies together. We feel that games are much more fun when the two opposing forces are fully painted. Participants paint 250 points of their chosen army each month (with completed bases) and play in a series of battles with their accumulated armies. The Tale of Gamers will run for 4 months, at the end of which participants will have a fully painted 1000 point army. Building up an army with a group of people is a really fun way to play and stay motivated and excited about painting. If that weren't enough incentive, Jetpack Comics will be giving a 25% discount the day of the ToG event if you have completed painting your 250 points for that month. The deadline for the first month will be at the beginning of December. Watch for it!



YU GI Oh Saturdays – We're bringing back Yu Gi Oh. Join us @ NOON on Saturdays as we kick-start Yu Gi Oh at Jetpack Comics. If we can get it going on we'll become a tournament store again! Come and join us every Saturday

2) Daledo's Comic Book Reviews – No one loves you like DALE loves you!

Daledo's Comic Book Review #277 – Zombieland!!!



So on Friday night, I went and saw Zombieland. It's an awesome flick. It's more of a comedy about the zombie apocalypse than a zombie movie, if can pick up what I'm putting down. Anyway, the movie was a good time, it provided some great laughs and great zombie kills. The best moment of the movie for me was the cameo that was made in the movie. I don't want to spoil anything, but if you see the movie, you'll know what I am talking about and you'll see why I loved it so much.



On to the reviews:



Green Lantern #46 by Geoff Johns, Doug Mahnke and Christian Almay



The Lowdown: You know it. I know it. Every comic fan, except maybe Will (he hates it), loves Green Lantern/Blackest Night. It's the biggest thing in comics right now. Nothing that's happening in Marvel can touch this. Dark Reign can't hold a candle to this and sadly, neither can Captain America: Reborn. I'll be the first to admit, and I know that Al agrees with me, that so far, this hasn't been as good the Sinestro Corps War, but it's still been pretty damn good. Regardless, Geoff Johns is an amazing writer and I can't wait to see what the rest of Blackest Night has in store.



What Happens: This issue of Green Lantern continues directly from the end of Blackest Night #3, following Hal and Indigo and them getting transported to Zamaron, and meeting up with Carol and Sinestro. Crazy stuff ensues.



Should You Buy It?: This issue is a no brainer. Green Lantern is consistently one of the best books on the shelf, and with it being a tie-in to Blackest Night the stakes are much higher. Doug Mahnke does the art, and if you've ever read any of my reviews, you know I love his work. I don't think he gets the credit that he deserves and I think he's one of the most talented artists in comics today and would like to see him get a big event book. This issue was awesome, and in case you forgot, this issue reminds you that Sinestro is a certified bad ass. This book gets the Daledo Seal of Approval.



Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash: The Nightmare Warriors #4 by Jeff Katz, James Kuhoric, Cruddie Torian and Jason Craig



The Lowdown: One of the craziest books that I have read lately is The Nightmare Warriors. No book features this much carnage as this one. Jason kills people and when he kills them, it's pretty brutal. Freddy usually insults people in their dreams before he kills them, and Ash kicks some ass in an effort to stop the two. In an effort to weaponize the Book of the Dead and Freddy Kruger, the American government has given Freddy access to the book, and I don't need to tell you that that's bad news. Washington, DC hasn't seen this kind of carnage before, and I doubt that they will again.



What Happens: Ash and the rest of the Elm St./Crystal Lake survivors join forces after Jason crashes the special Congressional hearing and Freddy makes his State of the Nightmare address.



Should You Buy It?: If you love horror like I do, you have to read this series. I have all of these movies, as cheesy as some of them are, but I like these characters. I love watching the Evil Dead. I can watch that movie over and over again. I love the Friday the 13th movies because I love the way Jason creatively kills his victims, and I love A Nightmare on Elm St because of the way Freddy insults his victims. I wish they had actually made the movie like they were supposed to, but I'm happy that the story was turned into a comic and that they've brought it back for another series. This book gets the Daledo Seal of Approval.
